Mary Louise Parker is best remembered for her great performance in the TV mini-series of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America, for which she received a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Angels in America is perhaps one of the most mind-blowing mini-series I have ever seen. Aside from Mary Louise Parker, the TV mini series has a wonderful cast. Al Pacino, who knows he is going to die despite the secret stash of AZT in his private hospital fridge, finally flips his histrionic lid. Mary Louise plays Harper, who is strung out on Valium, causing her to constantly hallucinate, sometimes jointly with another character, Prior. She longs to escape from her sexless marriage. As the film continues, all the lost souls come together to create bounds of love, loss and loneliness and, in the end, discover forgiveness and overcome abandonment.

The movie is mind blowing and Mary Louise Parker does a great job and it is no wonder that she won acclaim for the role. In 2004, Parker appeared in the comedy Saved! and a television film called Miracle Run, based on the true story of a mother of two sons with autism, as well as appearing in Craig Lucas’ Reckless on Broadway. This just goes to show that she is a very talented actress who can take on any kind of role. In November 2005, Parker was honored with an exhibition of her career at Boston University, where memorabilia from her career were donated to the University’s Library. In 2006, Parker received the 2006 Golden Globe Award for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, for her lead role in Weeds. In that category, she defeated the four leads of Desperate Housewives. She dedicated the award to the late John Spencer, known for his work as Leo MgGarry on the West Wing. After receiving the award, Parker stated that marijuana should be legalized.

Parker portrayed Sarah opposite Bruce Willis in the film RED, an adaptation of the comic book mini-series of the same name. The film was released on October 15 2010. In the film version, the title is derived from the designation of the status of agent Frank Moses, played by Bruce Willis, meaning Retired Extremely, Dangerous. The movie was a hit and reinforced Mary Louise Parker. In 2011, Parker became the host for the tenth season of the PBS documentary series Independent Lens.

Mary Louise Parker is beautiful American actress. The star was born in August 2, 1964, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. However, Mary Louise Parker spent most of her childhood traveling, as her father was a judge, serving in the US Army. During her childhood, Mary Louise Parker lived in many parts of the world. She initially moved to Tennessee, then to Thailand, but she also had to move to Germany and France. Mary Louise Parker made her acting debut in 1988. She currently stars in Weeds, a popular television series. However, Mary Louise Parker is well known for her many movie appearances, including Boys on the Side, The West Wing, but also Angles in America. In fact, for this last movie, Mary Louise Parker received both a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award.

Mary Louise Parker has managed to develop a very successful career in the movie industry, receiving various awards and nominations for her work, but the star should also be admired for the fact that she has always been able to stay away of scandals and public criticism. Mary Louise Parker has been in a long time relationship with actor Billy Crudup starting with 1996. However, the couple separated in 2003, although they had a son together. The boy, William Atticus Parker, was actually born in 2004, after the two split. In 2006, Mary Louise Parker was rumored to be romantically involved with actor Jeffery Dean Morgan, whom she actually met on the sets of Weeds. The on and off relationship of the two actors included many splits and reconciliations. They announced to have gotten engaged, back in 2008. However, they separated once again only a couple of months later.

Mary Louise Parker is now the happy mother of two children, as the actress decided to adopt a baby girl from Ethiopia. The event took place in September 2007, when Caroline Aberash Parker was welcomed into the family. Since the split from Jeffrey Dan, Mary Louise Parker has been romantically linked to numerous other famous men, but is seems that none of these relationships were confirmed or lasted for too long.

Chelsea stated she’s a fan of Mary-Louise Parker before Mary even walked out to begin their interview. The two immediately started on a high note with Chelsea complimenting her and Mary talking about how she feels she gets just as many insults as compliments.

After saying she’s friends with Kevin Nealon, Chelsea made it clear she feels Mary is who is truly responsible for Weeds being such a great show.

How Did Mary Break Her Toe?

Plenty of people have broken their toe. But not many people have broken their toe while their filming an intimate scene for a hit show. Parker explained how she fell off a bed and heard her toe crack during the first shoot of one of Weeds’ risque scenes.

Mary and Charlie Mars

The next topic of conversation was Mary’s new boyfriend, musician Charlie Mars. They talked about the music video the two of them shot together. The interview then went to Chelsea asking Mary how she feels about being the poster girl for pot.

Mary jokingly said she’ll be the poster girl for anything that pays the bills. She went on to say that although she doesn’t personally smoke much, she has no problem with being associated with it.

Mary the Writer

After running a clip from her music video with Charlie Mars, Mary talked about writing for Esquire. She proceeded to tell Chelsea a story about stabbing an ex-boyfriend with a fork. Although it sounds quite brutal, Mary’s delivery of the story actually made it very humorous!

Only the most successful television shows are aired for more than a couple of years. It is the aim of all directors to overcome what has become known as the second series syndrome, where the program fails to live up to the promise of the first series and is subsequently cut and resigned to daytime television. With 5 series since 2005 (the 6th due to air this year), it can be said with confidence that the series ‘Weeds’ has been a success. The show revolves around Nancy who was widowed and turned to selling drugs to make a living; the title of the show draws upon the slang term for the drug Cannabis. As the series has progressed she became embroiled in more and more criminal activities such as smuggling the drugs across borders.

Nancy is played by Mary Louise Parker who puts in an accomplished display as the grieving yet determined protagonist. Her excellent performances have won her a host of awards; a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2006 and a Satellite Award for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2005. She has also been nominated for a further 6 awards throughout the course of the show. The Golden Globe in particular was an exceptional achievement as she managed to beat off the other 4 nominations who were the leading actresses in the popular show Desperate Housewives; an achievement that managed to shock many of the critics at the awards ceremonies.
