Mary Louise Parker is a very well known American actress, known for her current lead role on the Showtime TV series, Weeds. Mary Louise Parker  is also known for the part she played in the mini-series Angels in America. Angels in America was the most watched made-for-cable movie in 2003. It gained much critical acclaim and multiple Golden Globes and Emmys. Mary Louise Parker even received a Golden Glove and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress. Mary Louise Parker is also the winner of the 2001 Tony Award for the Broadway play Proof.

Mary Louise Parker got her start with a small part on the soap opera Ryan’s Hope. In the late 1980s, Mary Louise Parker moved to New York, where she got a job measuring feet at ECCO. After a few minor roles, she made her Broadway debut in a 1990 production of Prelude to a Kiss, being cast in the leading role of Rita. The career of Mary Louise Parker boosted as she was trying to maintain a strong theater presence on stage.
